GRIT Employee of the Quarter Program

Purpose:
Ole Tyme Produce values the efforts of its employees to achieve company goals and to fulfill its vision statement. Employees who demonstrate outstanding performance on a regular basis deserve to be recognized both as a reward for exceptional performance and as a model to other employees. 

Eligibility: 
All full-time and part-time regular employees are eligible to participate in the GRIT Employee of the Quarter Program. 

Procedures: 
The GRIT Employee of the Quarter Program recognizes one employee each month. Nominations for the award may be submitted by any employee using the GRIT card available by Human Resources or in the break room. Nominations are based on employees who are demonstrating one of Ole Tyme’s core values, Community, Trust, Excellence, Leadership, Desire, or Growth. 

Completed nomination cards may be submitted by placing a card in the nominee box in the company break room between the 1st and end of each month for that month’s award. The GRIT Employee of the Quarter selection committee, comprised of a rotating group of management and non-management employees, will meet to review the nominations and to select the GRIT Employee of the Quarter. The selection is announced the 1st week of the quarter. The selected employee of the month will be recognized on the company’s social media and will be given a variety of gift cards and prizes. 

What does it mean to demonstrate an Ole Tyme core value? 

Community: An employee who fosters connections among employees, customers and/or community organizations. A person who is always willing to collaborate with other employees and provides efficient communication to their team, customers, and coworkers.  A person who volunteers intentionally to provide for those in need.

Trust: An employee you can rely on when you prepare for your workday and can assure you have all the resources you need to successfully complete your job functions.  An employee that reports customer feedback and assists in enhancing the customer experience.  An employee who has a flawless track record of being on time, being present, being helpful, being solution oriented, and being collaborative.

Excellence: An employee who’s decision-making and actions are of the highest level of standards, in alignment with the company core values and strategic plan.  An employee that completes each work standard at the highest level consistently.

Leadership: An employee who always does the right thing, even when it’s hard, even when no one is looking, even when it seems inconsequential.  Someone who sets a strong example for others, takes initiative, and takes responsibility for both successful outcomes and mistakes daily.  An employee looks beyond the current day in planning for next day, week, or month.

Desire: An employee who always displays a positive attitude and is eager to work at Ole Tyme Produce. An employee who customers enjoy and anticipate speaking with or seeing daily.  An employee who always has a smile on their face and in their voice.

Growth: An employee who is willing to take on new responsibilities and learn new skills. Someone who supports the growth of Ole Tyme Produce and values hard work, determination, and perseverance.  An employee who learned something or taught something to another employee each day, week, or month.  An employee who envisions new channels, introduces new technology, and/or new systems to assist the company in growth.
