Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

UPDATE: Asparagus supplies will be very light the next couple of weeks leading into the 4th of July holiday.

Southern Baja has seen about a week of temps above 100 degrees causing asparagus to go dormant. Peru is also battling very warm weather as well and producing less asparagus.

Domestic supplies are basically done this week, keeping this market elevated.

Expectations:

The Asparagus market will be volatile for the next 2 weeks with industry-wide short supplies.
The expectation is that supply this week and next week will be about 30-40% less than the last three to four weeks.
Supplies should start to improve the week of July 7th.
