Dear Ole Tyme Customers:
Florida’s early February freeze has significantly reduced tomato supply, while increased production out of Mexico is adding volume to the market.
Supply Overview
- Florida: Extremely limited supply, especially for the next 4 weeks
- Mexico: Rising production as delayed crops mature and fields recover
Commodity Breakdown
- Rounds & Romas
- Florida supply remains very tight
- Mexican volume increasing, with mixed quality and abundant medium sizes
- Market trending lower due to weaker demand, though romas may remain slightly snug into spring
- Grape & Cherry Tomatoes
- Limited supply from Florida
- Steady volume from Mexico (primarily Culiacán)
Market Outlook
- Lower pricing expected short-term for most varieties
- Grape and cherry tomatoes likely to remain steady
We will continue to monitor supply shifts and provide updates as conditions evolve.
