Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

Tropical activity remains calm in the Pacific, though a low-pressure system in the Gulf of Mexico may develop later this week. Central and West-Central Mexico continues to receive heavy rain, but conditions in Central Mexico are starting to improve, with better quality and supplies expected soon.

In Coastal California, heavy marine layers, strong afternoon winds, and ongoing insect and disease pressure are impacting crop yields and quality — especially for tender items like spinach and spring mix. These conditions are reducing shelf life and leaving dust on open-head varieties like romaine. Growers are hopeful for more favorable weather to support recovery and stronger production.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sales Representative.

Thanks,
