Yuma Weather

Wed, Mar. 26th, 2025

Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

The Yuma growing region experienced record-high temperatures yesterday, with a gradual cooling trend expected through the weekend. Yesterday's high reached 99°F, followed by 95°F today and 91°F tomorrow. A high-pressure system will persist over the Yuma area through the first week of April, leading to extended dry conditions and temperatures near or above normal.

Expectations (Yuma):

  • The heat in Yuma will stress the quality and shelf life of crops, particularly processed items, as the season comes to a close.
  • With these temperatures, expect issues such as dehydration, tip burn, discoloration, and rapid, uneven growth.
  • Given these conditions, it’s important to keep inventories tight as shelf life will be reduced.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sales Representative.

Thanks,
