Dear Ole Tyme Customers:
Strawberries
- Santa Maria & Oxnard: Recent weather events have led to a lean supply chain, with much of the fruit diverted to processors. Fresh market yields remain low, but conditions are improving and availability is expected to pick up next week.
- Salinas & Watsonville: The season is winding down with low yields and marginal quality. Like the southern regions, much of the fruit is being sent to processors.
Blueberries
- Limited imports from Peru are currently dominating the market. Supply is expected to improve next week as container offloads stabilize. Mexico is beginning to contribute small volumes, with production ramping up through October.
Blackberries
- Strong supply continues from California and Mexico. Despite high volume, demand remains low.
Raspberries
- Good volume is expected throughout October. Product is coming from California, Central Mexico, and Baja. Volume deals are available due to high supply and low demand..
