Dear Ole Tyme Produce Customers:

Please be aware that the Oxnard area will be struggling over the next two to three weeks with quality and quantity. This is due to the recent rain and cold weather . We advise trying to load strawberries in either Texas or Florida if at all possible.. Those areas will be subject to weather and increased demand as well but it is a certainty that California will be severely short .

Oxnard growers are stripping fields daily trying to cull out water damaged fruit which is severely reducing yields.
Standing water in furrows combined with very little wind to help dry out the soil is causing difficulties entering some areas. (See attachments)
We are expecting more rain this coming weekend accompanied by cold temperatures.
Very limited shelf life.
