Extreme Weather

Thurs, Feb 5th, 2026

Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

Historic cold temperatures moved across the state of Florida over the weekend, affecting growing regions statewide and impacting the agricultural community at varying levels. As a result, significant crop losses are expected across multiple commodities, including celery, lettuce, citrus, tomatoes, bell peppers, berries, squash, corn, and cucumbers, among others. In several areas, temperatures dropped below 24°F for extended periods over multiple days.

At this time, it is still too early to fully determine the overall impact of this weather event. We are actively working with our grower partners to assess crop damage and evaluate supply outlooks for the weeks ahead—and, for certain commodities, potentially longer.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sales Representative.

Thanks,

Ole Tyme Produce
